Many people ask why we specialize in Fuji Apples. The answer is simple. When we decided to grow fruit we wanted the best tasting product we could find. We tasted almost every variety out there and decided that Fuji was our favorite. Then, by pure luck, we discovered that our location was extremely well suited for growing this variety. The sugar content and crispness of our fruit is consistently some of the highest in the state. We achieve this by not picking any fruit for sale until it reaches optimum maturity.

Our fruit is Certified Organic by the Washington State Department of Agriculture. That means that a third party has verified that all of the crop production practices have been inspected to assure that they comply with the Organic Standards. We do not use synthetic fertilizers, insecticides, fungicides, or herbicides. We maintain organic matter in the soil to maintain nutritional balance. We use biological means to control pests, and encourage natural predators. By doing this we have helped nature establish a natural ecosystem that is in balance and is quite efficient.

When we pack your fruit we do not apply any wax or other unnatural compound. If you would like us to "shine" your fruit for cosmetic reasons we will do this the old fashioned way….by hand.
